ABOUT ME

I have been studying yoga for over 15 years, having practised in the schools of Hatha, Dru, Sivananda, Kundalini, Satyananda and Iyengar but finding my true passion in Astanga and Jivamukti. I have studied Astanga under the direct lineage of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois through his son, Manju Jois, and a number of eminent teachers including Nancy Gilgoff, Lino Miele, Danny Paradise, John Scott, David Swenson and Richard Freeman.

I have completed the full Astanga Teacher Training course in the intensive study in the foundations and teaching techniques of the Primary series of Astanga Yoga, as certified by David Swenson.

I have also been instructed in teaching Jivamukti by both David Life and Sharon Gannon, the founders of this system.

In 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout my treatment, surgery and healing I have maintained a regular yoga practice of modified asana, pranayama and meditation. This experience has deepened my understanding of the therapeutic power of yoga, which I now teach.

I am fully qualified and insured with the British Wheel of Yoga, the National Body for Yoga in the UK. I am also registered and qualified with the International Body for Yoga, Yoga Alliance, and am independent of any charity.
